Ghana’s Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah has met Confederation of African Football president Ahmad over issues relating to Ghana football.
It is reported the two leaders had a successful discussion in Madagascar over the weekend.
Last week, the continent’s football governing body called a crisis meeting with the Sports Minister to discuss the country’s hosting of the 2018 Africa Women’s Championship that has been hit by severe delays with just three months left to start the competition.
The meeting seemed to have arrived at an amicable conclusion after Dr. Ahmad stated that the continent’s football governing body’s support to clean and sanitized Ghana’s football following revelations of evidences of corruption and misconduct in the game.
The President also expressed optimism of Ghana’s ability to host the 11th Africa Women’s Championship this year in November.
Mr. Asiamah on his part assured of Ghana’s capacity and Government’s preparedness to host the biannual tournament come November.
