The chief of Ama-Nkokwaa, Nana Adu Boahen Kusi Amoagyan II, has commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the recent projects undertaken in the Berekum West District of the Bono region.

He made this statement at a durbar organised by the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Berekum West District on the construction of four mechanised boreholes for four communities in the district.

According to the chief, there had not been a single completed project in the area since the Fourth Republic which is why they appreciate the project by the President.

“We want to thank the DCE for helping us with these projects.  We have asked for this to be done for a long time, but to no avail. So we thank you that you have made this possible, God bless you,” he said.

Speaking in an interview on Adom News, the DCE for the area, Mr Isaac Osei assured the people that the government was rolling out programmes to address developmental challenges confronting the newly created districts.

“There are 14 projects we are embarking on; we have started with four, the remaining projects would be done in different communities and towns in the district. The main challenges in these communities are potable drinking water and electricity so that is what we are concentrating on,” he said.
