German international Jerome Boateng will be visiting Ghana for the very first time.

The 30-year-old was born to a German mother and a Ghanaian father in Berlin.

In an Instagram post, Boateng expressed his joy ahead of his trip to the country.

He wrote: “Special trip ahead… can‘t wait to visit Ghana for the very first time.”

Jerome’s older half-brother Kevin Prince also proved the importance of the father’s place of origin in the Boateng family . Although the midfielder had gone through all the youth teams of the DFB, but ultimately decided to play for the Black Stars.

However, after a dispute with the nation’s football governing body, he called time on his international career.
