GRA to introduce electronic Vehicle Income Tax payment

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) is to scrap the manual payment of Vehicle Income Tax (VIT) by commercial drivers, for which stickers are issued, and replace it with an electronic system. Under the new arrangement, commercial drivers can pay for their VIT through mobile money and enforcing officers, including the police, personnel of the GRA and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), will verify the tax standing of commercial drivers through the short code *901*111#. GIJ SRC elections disrupted by protest

Elections expected to take place at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) for weekend students this morning to elect new Students Representative Council (SRC) Executives were disrupted by protests. Lee Ocran laid to rest

Former Education Minister, Lee Ocran was laid to rest on Saturday, April 13, 2019. The late Lee Ocran, also a former MP for the Jomoro Constituency, died on Thursday, 21st February 2019.
