Zambia legalises Marijuana production

The Zambian government has finally approved a proposal to legalise the production of Marijuana. The production of Marijuana in Zambia will, however, be restricted to exports and for medical purposes only. Companies wishing to trade in Marijuana in Zambia will be charged US$250,000 annual license fees. Only successful bidders will be issued with commercial licenses to grow and trade in Marijuana for exports. The licenses will be issued by the Ministry of Health while the growth of the crop will be strictly supervised by the Zambia National Service. GFA announces financial packages for clubs

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will present GH¢50,000 to each of the 18 clubs expected to play in the premier League this season. The money is expected to cushion the clubs while the local football governing body awaits sponsorship for the league. The Electoral Commission says all is set for Tuesday’s district assembly and unit committee elections. At a press briefing in Accra Monday morning, The Deputy EC chairman in charge of Operations, Mr Samuel Tettey said 159,000 electoral officers have been trained for the elections.
